ICEMAC Fire Damper (IC-FD Series)
Product Overview
The ICEMAC IC-FD Series Fire Dampers are critical passive fire protection components that automatically prevent the spread of fire and smoke through ventilation ducts. Triggered at 72 °C by a thermal fuse, the damper blades close instantly, maintaining the fire integrity of building compartments. These dampers are essential in multi-zone buildings, where HVAC ducts penetrate fire-rated barriers such as walls, slabs, and shafts.
Constructed from galvanized steel and internally insulated with fire-rated rock wool, IC-FD dampers deliver high reliability under fire conditions. Available in circular (IC-FD-C) and rectangular (IC-FD-R) models, they support both duct and wall installations and can be integrated with fire safety automation systems.
Key Features
-
Automatic Thermal Activation – Closes at 72 °C to isolate the fire zone.
-
Fire-Rated Construction – Galvanized steel body with 70 kg/m³ rock wool blade insulation.
-
Versatile Configurations – Rectangular and circular designs to suit various duct layouts.
-
Silicone Sealing – High-temperature-resistant silicone at casing joints prevents deformation and leakage.
Applications
-
Ducts Through Fire Zones – Blocks fire spread across compartments at wall/slab penetrations.
-
Riser Ducts and Vertical Shafts – Protects vertical channels in multistorey buildings.
-
Car Parks and Basements – Limits fire exposure in garage exhaust systems.
-
Staircase Pressurization Ducts – Ensures fire compartmentalization for safe egress routes.
Advantages
-
Fail-Safe Operation – Closes reliably during emergencies without manual intervention.
-
Seamless Automation – Optional motor and limit switch allow for full BMS integration.
-
Compliance Ready – Built in accordance with passive fire safety codes.
